Use
In this activity, you can check whether the search strategy you specified actually provides the required condition information for the sales employees' work areas.
Requirements
The following activities are required in the Implementation Guide (IMG):
- You have carried out the basic activities for the worklist type under Sales and Distribution -> Portal Role "Internal Sales Representative" -> Personal Worklist (POWL for SAP ERP 2005).
- You have performed the additional activities for the condition information: Define Search Criteria for Header Attributes and Define Search Criteria for Item Attributes.
Standard settings
The main worklist types for the sales employees' work areas are predefined. For more information, see Overview of the Configuration Process.
Activities
You carry out the test activities in several process steps. A graphical process overview helps you navigate and provides orientation in each phase of the process. If you want to change the data from a previous step, you can repeat the step.
Note:
Changed data for the search criteria or the key combinations determined by the system are not saved in the test activity. If you want sales employees to get the condition information based on your changed settings, enter the relevant data in the activities for the condition information.
Carry out the following process steps.
Determine Key Combinations
Choose a predefined work area. The system displays the following data that you can change for a new test:
- Header
The system determines the use and the application (such as pricing in Sales and Distribution). You can exclude combinations that are not required from the list of key combinations. - Item
The system determines the condition fields from the condition tables on the basis of the header data. Change the attributes if required. For more information, see Define Search Criteria for Item Attributes.
Make Selection
Based on the specified search criteria, the system determines the key combinations with the union of the key fields.
- Key combinations
You can exclude combinations that are not required from the list of key combinations. This reduces the quantity of key fields.
- Key fields
- The list of key fields is the union of all key fields from the selected key combinations.
- The key fields are part of the selection criteria your sales employees can use in their portal. If you want to adjust the selection of the condition records for a specific task, enter a single value or a value range for a key field.
- Validity period
- If you want the condition records to be valid on a specific date, enter the valid from date only.
- If you want the records to be valid in a particular period, enter both the valid from and valid to dates.
- If the condition records should only be valid on the specified date or in the specified period and not beyond that, also set the Strict Search indicator.
- You can make a further restriction by entering a condition type.
Display result
The system displays the condition information in a tabular overview. The rows contain the individual condition records, and the columns show the corresponding condition data. If there is additional data, you can display it for the selected condition record.
- Under the settings you can change the layout of the overview, such as column selection and sort order. You can use filter data to further restrict the condition record selection.
- If you want to use your configuration data more than once, you can save the display variant. The data is saved as a user-specific variant.
For work areas that determine price information, the system displays other detailed data, such as scale prices, in an additional overview.
Change contents of list
If you want to change the contents of the list, you can do so as follows:
- In the first step, the system determines the condition records according to the defined search strategy for the key combinations (condition tables).
You can reduce or extend the selection of relevant condition tables by redefining the work area (worklist type) for the condition information. Repeat the role-specific activities for the search criteria (header attributes and item attributes). Sales employees cannot change the worklist type.
- Sales employees can adjust the list of established condition records to suit their current task if you enter values for the key fields. You can simulate this entry in the test activity, but you cannot save it for general use.
