Use

In this step, you define a plant-independent background job for the automatic sending of process messages.

The following options are available for background jobs:

  • Cross-plant sending
    You use program RCOCB002 to do this
  • Plant-dependent sending
    You use program RCOCB004 to do this. You define the plant of the messages to be selected in a selection variant.

All messages with the following statuses are processed:

  • Created
  • Partially sent
  • Partially sent with warning

Further notes

If you have activated the time-zone functionality in your client, you should take the following into account when defining background jobs:

  • Where possible, schedule only plant-dependent jobs for sending process messages.
  • The time zone in the user master of the user that defines the job must agree with the time zone of the plant in which the messages are sent. I.e. for different time zones the jobs must each be defined by different users with the right personal time zone.
