You define the following number range intervals in this process step:
- Number range for backlogs
- Number range for material backflush
- Number range for activity backflush
In the standard SAP system, 01 is the default value for internal number assignment.
Notes for transporting number range objects:
Number range objects can be transported as follows: Choose "Interval - Transport" on the initial screen. Make sure that all intervals for the selected number range object are deleted in the target system so that only the exported intervals are available after the transport. The number range statuses are imported with the value entered at the time of the export. Dependent tables are not transported or converted.
In addition, you assign number ranges in this process step:
- Assignment of number range for backlogs
You assign a number range for backlog posting to each plant. A number range can be used simultaneously in several plants.
Example:
Plant Number range Valid for interval
0001 01 1 bis 9999999999
0002 01 1 bis 9999999999
Backlogs in plant 0001 and 0002 are managed sequentially in number range 01.
- Assignment of number range for material backflush
The process is the same as for the number range for backlogs.
- Assignment of number range for activity backflush
The process is the same as for the number range for backlogs.
