Use
In this Customizing activity, you can specify per regulation whole plants or storage locations as bonded warehouses for the import or export scenarios. You can use bonded warehouses to control if substance volume tracking considers the quantities that are delivered into or sent out of a bonded warehouse.
The following applies for the import scenario:
- When a substance from outside of the regulation's validity area is imported into a bonded warehouse, substance volume tracking does not consider the quantity to be an import.
- When a stock transport order takes place from a bonded warehouse to a receiving plant in the regulation's validity area, substance volume tracking considers the quantity to be an import.
The following applies for the export scenario:
- When a replenishment delivery from a plant outside of the regulation's validity area is delivered to a bonded warehouse that is in the regulation's validity area, substance volume tracking does not consider the quantity to be an export.
- When a substance from a bonded warehouse in the regulation's validity area is exported to a customer that is outside of the regulation's validity area, substance volume tracking does not consider the quantity to be an export.
- When a substance from a bonded warehouse in the regulation's validity area is delivered to a plant in the same validity area, substance volume tracking considers the quantity to be an export.
- When a substance from a bonded warehouse in the regulation's validity area is delivered to a customer in the same validity area, substance volume tracking considers the quantity to be an export.
In this Customizing activity, you can specify function modules for the Consistency Check of Bonded Warehouses and for the Bonded Warehouse Determination.
Furthermore, you can define plants or plants and storage locations as bonded warehouses.
Requirements
If you specify bonded warehouses on the storage location level, the following prerequisites apply for correct tracking of the substance quantities:
- The storage location field must be a mandatory field in the purchased item or delivery item.
- For stock transfer orders or replenishment deliveries, the following document flow must exist:

Standard settings
If you do not enter a customer-specific function module for Check of Bonded Warehouse Entries for a regulation, the function module CBRC_BW_BD_DATA_CHECK is used.
If you do not enter a customer-specific function module for Bonded Warehouse Determination for a regulation, the function module CBRC_BW_BD_DATA_READ is used.
The bonded warehouse check is carried out in the following function modules for Data Separation:
