Use

In this IMG activity, you can create activity groups. You can also create authorization profiles using the Profile Generator.

Activities

To assign an authorization profile to a user, do the following:

  1. Create an activity group.
  2. Create a description.
  3. Select transactions.
  4. Create and edit authorizations.
  5. Assign users and adjust the user master records (this enters the profile for the users).
  6. Transport activity groups if desired.

Detailed information

For details about the procedure, see Transaction documentation.

Note

Manually created authorization profiles or authorization profiles supplied by SAP can be used in activity groups. You can create an activity group without the menu and add the corresponding profile to the authorization data for the activity group.

Choose "Edit -> Add authorization -> From profile" in step 4. to include the data of an authorization profile in the activity group.

Authorization object C_EHSRC_SV is used for substance volume tracking.

The authorization check is carried out in the following places:

  • Substance Volume Tracking: Monitoring
  • Substance Volume Tracking: Display Blocked Documents

Further notes

If a substance-volume tracking user does not have authorization for individual plants within one company code, it is possible that the system will show that the quantity limits have been violated, even though the plants that the user has authorization for do not cause the violation. This means that the quantity limits violation is displayed at the company code level, but the responsible plant is not displayed. In this case, the cause of the quantity limits violation is not obvious to the user.

If you want the user to see the data determined for an entire company code, the authorizations must be assigned explicitly for all plants of this company code, because the authorization object does not contain a field for the company code.
