Use

If you use Concurrent Employment, you can set up CATS classic such that working times for concurrent employees can be recorded for all personnel assignments in one work step. This applies to recording by employees themselves as well as multi-person recording.

  • You use the SAP Personnel Management solution.
  • You have implemented the functions for Concurrent Employment in your system.

Standard settings

  • The functions for concurrent employment are not activated in the standard system.
  • The entry in the No Initial Screen field is not taken into account in the entry profile. The application is always called with the initial screen.

Activities

  1. Add the Personnel Assignment (CATSW-PERASCE) and Personnel Assignment Text (CATSW-PRTXTCE) fields to the worklist and recording part of the relevant recording profiles using the IMG activity Select Fields.
  2. Adjust the relevant recording profiles to the functions for recording working times by the employees themselves.
    To do this, do not select the following fields:

  6. Create the user parameter HR_CCURE_PIDSL (HR: Selection with Person ID) for all employees that have to record working times in the system

    Parameter value +: Display and selection using the person ID
    • For single entry, employees must enter their person ID on the initial screen. In the data entry section, the system outputs the person ID and the employee's name.
    • For multi-person entry, the system outputs the person ID and personnel assignments in the list of employees on the initial screen.

      Parameter value -: Display and selection using the personnel number

    • For single entry, employees must enter their personnel number on the initial screen. For concurrent employees, the system generates all of the employee#s other personnel assignments and outputs them in a list. The system outputs the employee#s name in the data entry section.
    • For multi-person recording, the system does not output the person ID in the data entry section or on the initial screen. This setting is therefore not recommended for processors who manage time data for concurrent employees.
