In this step, you define customer-specific fields. They appear in addition to the standard fields on the screen when maintaining or displaying the time sheet.
You can copy a maximum of 10 fields to the data entry section. You can provide additional fields in a special dialog box and make additional information available to users when displaying or maintaining data.
You can supplement these fields with values and validate them using SAP enhancements.
Standard settings
Customer fields are inserted into the CI_CATSDB structure. This structure is contained in the database table for the Time Sheet (CATSDB).
Activities
- Choose Create SAP Enhancements for the Time Sheet.
- Create a customer project using the SAP enhancement CATS0005.
- On the initial project administration screen, select the Enhancement components field and choose Change.
- Select the entry CI_CATSDB and choose Edit -> Components.
- Create the structure CI_CATSDB.
- Insert the fields you want to add to the Time Sheet database table into the structure.
Only the data dictionary types NUMC and CHAR are permitted. - Check and save the structure.
- Activate the structure.
You have added customer-specific fields to the database table for the Time Sheet.
You can include 10 of these fields for display or maintenance in the data entry section. Decide which fields from the CI_CATSDB structure you want to provide as input or output fields in the data entry section. - Choose Make field assignment.
- Assign the relevant fields to the view.
You can include up to 10 additional fields in the data entry section. Assign a number from 1 - 10 and specify the name of the field.
The number you assign to the additional field corresponds to the number of the customer field in the field selection.

- Check the attributes of the fields you have added in the field selection. If necessary, customize the modifiable customer fields additional fields 1 - 10 to suit your requirements.
