Use
In this activity you define rules for special approval. The rules specify which working time attributes require approval.
Note
For more information on special approvals, see the SAP Library under Cross-Application Components -> Time Sheet -> Approval Procedure.
You can also define the rules for special approval with the BAdI BAdI_CATS_APPROVAL (CATS Approval), enhancement spot CATS_APPROVAL (CATS Approval). In this case you do not need to carry out this Customizing activity.
In the following activities, you group the rules into rule groups. You specify the rule groups in the data entry profile. This has the effect that all working times that were entered with a data entry profile go through an approval process in which only the data records based on these rules need to be approved.
This customizing structure enables you to assign individual rules to multiple rule groups and make the rule groups available to multiple data entry profiles. Therefore, you should design the rules such that they can be used in this way.
Requirements
You want to restrict the volume of data to be approved in some of your data entry profiles.

- Assign a meaningful name that facilitates assignment.
