You can attach a comment line to time sheet data for which an approval is withheld. The comment line states the reason why the approval was withheld.

In this step, you define the rejection reasons that the person approving the data can attach to a rejected record.

Example

Your company regulations stipulate overtime hours are not recognized unless approved. You enter Unapproved overtime as a reason for rejection.

Standard settings

The standard SAP System provides several examples of rejection reasons.

Activities

  1. Decide which rejection reasons you require
  2. Assign an alphanumeric key to each rejection reason
  3. Enter a unique text to describe the reason

Note

Note the naming convention when assigning keys to customer-specific reasons for rejection. Proceed as follows to receive a list of keys that are in SAP's name space and should not be used:

  1. Start program RDDKOR54 (Customer Namespace Reservations for Tables or Views).
  2. Delete the Maintain Namespace indicator.
  3. Enter table TCATSDT and select Execute.
