The SAP Time Sheet is a cross-application tool which you can use to record employee time data.

To record employee working times, you must first create personnel numbers for them in the SAP System. To do so, you can use the functions of the Personnel Administration component. The system displays all the necessary steps when you create a project IMG for the Time Sheet.

The most important steps for maintaining HR master data are:

  1. Creating a personnel mini-master
    To simplify this process, you can use the personnel action designed specifically for creating personnel numbers for use in the Time Sheet.
    This personnel action contains all the data required for the personnel mini-master.
  2. Defining organizational assignments
    Each personnel number in HR must be assigned to certain organizational units. If you have no specific user-defined requirements for the organizational assignment, you can copy the standard settings.
  3. Defining authorizations
    Personal data must be protected on the grounds of data security. The Time Sheet's authorization concept is therefore based on the one in HR, which prevents unauthorized access to personal data. You can make detailed settings to determine which persons are assigned which authorizations for displaying, maintaining and approving data.
