Standard settings

Activities

Complete the configuration for the tab pages and process:

  1. Configuration of tab pages:
    • Select the appraisal category and appraisal template.
    • Define criteria groups and criteria as tab pages.
  2. Configuration for the process:
    • Select the appraisal category, appraisal template, and validity period.
    • Then choose the Start Selection radio button.
    • If a process has already been configured for the selected time period, this process is displayed.
If no process exists, you can create a new process.
    • Define the validity periods and descriptions for the appraisal process, process phases, and process steps. Proceed as follows:

  1. To create a new process, ensure that no entries are selected in the table Configure Available Elements for Process and select the Add radio button. All combinations of statuses and substatuses of the appraisal template are automatically assigned to the process.
  2. Make all the required settings in the Configuration Preview (Process) and save your entries.
  3. In the table of available elements, select the process and choose Add to add a process phase.
  4. Make all the required settings in the Configuration Preview (Phase) group box. You can assign a status to the process phase by choosing the New radio button in the Assigned Status group box.
  5. Assign all statuses and substatuses to the process phase that you want to use in the use in the process steps within this process phase.
    Save your entries.
  6. In the table of available elements, select the process phase and choose Add to add a process step.
  7. Make all the required settings in the Configuration Preview (Step) group box. You can assign a status to the process step by choosing the New radio button in the Assigned Status group box.
  8. With the Person Responsible for Process Step you can determine for which participants the process step is to be displayed in the appraisal document.
    Save your entries.
  9. Repeat steps c through f to create additional process phases.
  • You can edit the translations of the titles and descriptions of the process, process phases, and process steps by choosing the Translation radio button in the configuration preview.
  • In steps d and f, you must assign the required statuses to the phases and process steps. These statuses are used later on the user interfaces for the flexible appraisal document to decide in which process phase and process step the document is located. Note the following:
  • You can only assign statuses to a process step that have been assigned to the superordinate process phase.
One status can have only one process phase and one process step assigned to it.
However, you can assign multiple statuses to a process and process step, thus allowing you to map more complex processes to a manageable number of process phases and process steps.
