Use
In this IMG activity you configure the planning application by assigning the previously defined Planning Attributes and Planning Scenarios.
SAP provides a standard application for the budget planning (Planning Area 4MCBA004) for which the previous assignments were made.
The following individual configuration options are available for each planning application:
- Definition of the planning application itself:
Here you can define basic properties of an individual planning application. In particular, you make default settings in relation to certain budgeting attributes that you later define for the planning application:
- Assignment of Planning Versions:
Here you assign those planning versions (configured as planning attributes) that should be available for the respective planning application.
- Assignment of amount key figures:
Here you assign the amount key figures (configured as planning attributes) that should be available for the respective planning application.
- Assignment of planning scenarios:
Here you assign the planning scenarios (configured as planning attributes that should be available for the respective planning application.
- Assignment of budgeting attributes:
Here you first define the controlling areas for which the planning application should be used. You also
- define the respective fiscal year variants and currency used as a basis
- determine respectively whether only one active budgeting year is allowed.
- Assignment of budgeting years:
Here you define (for each controlling area) the active budgeting years.
Note that the settings of the planning application provided by SAP (planning area 4MCBA004) can only be changed punctually, as otherwise we cannot guarantee its smooth functioning.
If you want to be able to freely change all the settings of the standard application, you must first change the value of the global tax variable MOD-GC_CHANGEABLE from SPACE to 'X' in the LUPA_MCB_00T0Y include. You must also ensure, through suitable enhancements - depending on the case, BW objects (queries), BPS planning objects (within the planning area 4MCBA004) as well as the corresponding Web interfaces could be affected - that the smooth functioning of the application is guaranteed.
If, however, you want to create a customer-specific planning application (and still use the existing Customizing logic or the overlying access logic in the BPS), then all the settings would naturally be completely freely definable or ad hoc.
Requirements
You have configured planning attributes and planning scenarios.
