Standard settings

Background processes (batch work processes) for dialog-free processing of programs is defined, for example, for periodical tasks such as reorganiztaion activities or the automatic data transfer from a source system.

Recommendation

Note that at least two batch work processes are defined for your BW server.

However, to ensure high performance when uploading and deal with the normal workload of a BW server, you should define four batch processes.

Activities

Choose the profile parameter name rdisp/wp_no_btc from the list. You get to the profile parameter properties for the batch processes.

Choose change mode and maintain the number of batch work processes.

Further notes

After you have defined the batch work processes, you have to restart the server before the changes will be effective.
