Use

In this Customizing activity, you activate data sources and business intelligence (BI) content for Process Observer using content bundle 0POC_BW in the BI Content Activation Workbench.

Requirements

You have installed the SP containing the BI content objects for Process Observer in your SAP Business Information Warehouse (BW).

An RFC connection to your BW system is available.

Standard settings

Process Observer data sources will be activated in the local system.

On the BW, the InfoArea 0CA_POC Process Orchestration will be activated with grouping 'Dataflow before and afterwards'.

Activities

  • Execute transaction RSA9 in your local system to transfer the new entries in the component hierarchy.
  • Activate content using the BI Content Activation Workbench:
    • Execute IMG activity
    • Maintain the RFC destination to your BW system in field 'RFC Destination for Content Objects'
    • Check the settings in Treatment of Already Active Content Objects
    • Activate

Alternatively to activating the BI Content via the BI Content Activation workbench, you can manually activate the process by:

  • Executing RSA9 in the local system to transfer the new entries in the hierarchy
  • Executing RSA5, selecting, and activating the data sources under nodes ROOT_POC and POC_PROVIDER
  • Executing RSOR on the BW system to select BI Content Objects for Activation manually
