Use

In this IMG activity, you define and activate the field control framework that the system uses at business object level.

You must maintain the properties of business object (BO) entities for all BO nodes participating in field control. This includes nodes, associations, attributes, and actions.

Requirements

Standard settings

Activities

  1. Choose New Entries.
  2. In the Business Object field, enter or choose the name of the business object and the BO field control profile.
  3. Double-click Nodes in the Dialog Structure.
  4. Choose New Entries.
  5. In the Node field, enter or choose the name of the business object node and save. The system automatically chooses the BO communication structure available in the table, or gives an error message if there is no entry available for the BO node in the Customizing table.
Note that the /BOBF/I_FCNODE table must have an entry of the BO node.
  6. In the Dialog Structure, double-click Node Profile.
  7. Choose New Entries.
  8. Enter the appropriate values for the node field control profile and context structure field. You can also enter a short description, if required.
  9. In the Dialog Structure, under Node Profile double-click Node Properties.
  10. Choose New Entries.
  11. In the Node Property field, choose the appropriate property. In the Node Properties screen area, select the indicators as required.
  12. Similarly, from the Dialog Structure, you can define property settings for attributes, associations, and actions.
  13. Save the settings.
