Use

In this Customizing activity, you specify the infotypes for which change pointers are to be written for data changes, depending on the consumer. The consumers use the change pointers within the delta upload of data.

You use this activity if you have created customer-specific consumers and want to include them in the framework for tracking infotype data.

Note

Note that the associated table is client-independent and therefore you have to perform this activity in the system for cross-client Customizing.

Requirements

You have created customer-specific consumers in the customer namespace.

You have the necessary authorization to perform the activity. For this purpose, you are assigned the single role Administrator for Change Pointers SAP_BS_FND_ICP_ADMIN.

Standard settings

Activities

  1. Choose the New Entries function.
  2. For each consumer type, enter the consumer objects that are to use change pointers within the delta upload.
  3. For each consumer object, enter the infotypes for which change pointers are to be written for data changes.
  4. If necessary, specify for the infotype which subtypes and objects types are relevant, fro example, for infotype 1001, only object type O (Organizational Unit) and subtype A002 (Reports to).
  5. Save your entries.
