Use
In this IMG activity, you define and activate the authorization checks that the system carries out at business object level.
Requirements
Standard settings
Activities
In the Dialog Structure, double-click the Business Object Node folder.
Choose New Entries.
In the Business Object field, enter or choose the name of the business object.
In the Node Name field, enter or choose the name of the business object node. Note that you can only choose the node level ROOT.
In the Dialog Structure, double-click the Authorization Object Assignment folder.
Choose New Entries.
In the Object field, enter or choose the authorization object and activate the authorization check by selecting the Auth.Check Activ. indicator. You can deactivate the authorization object, whenever required, by deselecting this indicator.
In the Node of Attr. field, enter the name of the business object node from which the system must start reading the authorization field values.
In the Dialog Structure, double-click the Authorization Field Mapping to BO Attributes folder.
Choose New Entries.
In the Field Name field, enter or choose the authorization field.
In the Field Name field in the Authorization Field Mapping to BO Attributes screen area, enter or choose the name of the attribute of the business object.
Save the setting.
Defining filter values for authorization fields is an optional activity. To define these, carry out the following activities:
Select the entry you created in Authorization Object Assignment and double-click the Filter Values folder in the Dialog Structure.
Choose New Entries.
In the Field Name field, enter or choose the name of the business object attribute.
In the Filter Value field, enter or choose the value you want to use as a filter.
