With this activity you can either assign or change BDS application classes to SAP Knowledge Provider classes.

For the BDS classes you can call a standard exit function module that, depending on the corresponding Method call, can be called as an alternative to or in addition to BDS-Standard coding.

Depending upon the Log level you can generate multi-level log entries

  • Level 1

    Logs all delete operations

  • Level 2

    Logs all changes as well as Level 1

  • Level 3

    Logs all create operations as well as levels 1 and 2

  • Level 4

    Logs all read operations as well as levels 1 to 3

Activities

  1. Carry out the activity.

    You have accessed an overview of all the assignments that already exist.

  2. You have the following options to continue:
    • You can display detailed information about the individual entries.
      • From the detailed display you can branch to maintenance.
    • You can change the Knowledge Provider classes which are assigned to application classes.
    • You can create new entries.
      • Specify the class name and class type to which you want to assign the Knowledge Provider classes.
      Then provide the following specifications:
      - Class for logical documents
      - Class for physical documents
      - Class for relations
      - Name of the ABAP Dictionary object
      - Name of the function module for the application exit
      - Log level
      The specifications for creator, time of creation, last changed by and time of change will be entered automatically.
    • You can copy and change existing entries.
    • You can delete existing entries.
    • You can undo your changes.

      Choose the relevant symbol in change mode in order to carry out the required changes.

  3. Save your entries.
