Use
You use this Business Add-In (BAdI) within the configuration control component. One possible aspect is the interaction between the actual configuration (based on the functional location, equipment, structure gaps) and the allowed configuration (based on product variation structure nodes). A shared field, the function identifier (FID), enables this interaction.
You can maintain a default FID in the equipment master in the field named 'function identifier'. You can overrule the default by using this BAdI. In the product structure the function identifier is identical to the iPPE node name. You can also change this default here.
Four methods are provided:
- GET_FID_TO_MAINTENANCE_OBJECT
Get the FID from an equipment
- GET_MAINTENANCE_OBJECT_TO_FID
Search all equipments for a particular FID
- GET_FID_TO_NODE
Get the FID from an iPPE node
- GET_NODE_TO_FID
Search all iPPE nodes for a given FID
