Use
This enhancement can be used to implement a custom calculation for the age of a work-in-process (WIP) item for use in detailed WIP reporting.
This Business Add-In (BAdI) is used in the Professional Services (IS-PRS) component when the work period is used as a basis for reporting WIP aging.
You can use this BAdI to calculate the age of a WIP item, thus influencing the result of the standard age calculation based on work period. You can use a work period type other than the standard types week and month. For more information, see the Activate Working Period documentation.
Requirements
This BAdI is only available if the following activities have been carried out:
- The Commercial Project Inception and Lean Staffing PRS_ERP_CPILS_1 business function has been activated.
- The Save WIP Details setting has been turned on in the relevant Results Analysis Version, using Customizing activity Maintain Results Analysis Versions.
If the age calculation will be based on the work period values, then the following are also required in order to populate the work period:
- The Pricing with Working Period function has been subsequently switched on in Customizing for Sales and Distribution, in step Activate SD Functions for Commercial Projects .
Standard settings
Standard delivery includes age calculation when one of the standard units Week or Month is used for the work period. The standard age calculation is performed in the same time unit (Week or Month) as is contained in the work period for each DI item.
