This Business Add-In (BAdI) lets you influence status management for medical documentation beyond the capabilities offered by Customizing.

Status management is available in the transactions for maintaining the medical basic documentation (procedures and diagnoses) if a relevant status profile for the creation of a case has been defined Customizing (see IMG activity Maintain Status Profiles Used for Medical Documentation).

This BAdI is purely optional. Status management for the medical basic documentation is controlled first and foremost using Customizing.

In relation to the institution, case information and movement information of a case, you can set or delete a status profile with the related user status.

User Status and System Status

  • The technical representation of the five-figure user statuses always starts with "E" (e.g. "E0007") and can only be interpreted together with a system status.
  • The technical representation of the set system statuses starts with an "I". They have a fixed meaning (e.g. if the system status "I0351" is active, the case is blocked against billing).

Recommendation

Deactivate existing implementations of the BAdI that work with the system statuses ISHD1, ISHD2 and ISHD3. These statuses do not function with SAP Patient Management Release 4.63B.
