In this customizing activity you activate a Knowledge Provider document area (KPRO document area) for the document search in the Document Finder.

Note: You only need to carry out this customizing activity if you want to use a KPRO area in the Document Finder. The activity is not relevant for any other document areas.

Use

Requirements

  • You have created a KPRO document area in the Document Modelling Workbench.
  • You have implemented a function module that carries out indexing at runtime.

    SAP supplies the following example template: ALINK_KPRO_INDEX_TEMPLATE.

Standard settings

Activities

Enter the following data:

  • Document type

    Technical name of a document type. The document type must already exist (ArchiveLink Basic Customizing: Document Types).

  • Object type

    Technical name of the business object type linked to the document type (ArchiveLink Basic Customizing: Relationships).

  • Document area

    Technical name of a document area. The document area must already exist in KPRO.

  • S = Synchronous

    Empty = asynchronous indexing

    Indexing should always run asynchronously.

  • Indexing Function

    Name of a function module that carries out the indexing at runtime.
