The manufacturer's IP data can also be provided on file in MS Excel format. In such cases you must determine rules to get the values from the Excel table into the fields in the IP database tables.

Activities

  1. Execute the Customizing activity.

    On the upper part of the screen you see the existing rules.

    In the lower part of the screen you create new rules.

  2. The fields that are possible for the IP database tables are known. Enter a rule for every field that you want to fill with a value from the Excel file:
    1. In the field "Column" enter the title of the column that you want to import from the Excel file.
    2. In the field "Rule" enter a number that must be unique for a set of associated rules.
    3. In the field "Sequence" enter the position of the column in your Excel file.
  3. Choose "Update" to copy the new rule to the list of settings.

When importing a RSPL file enter the rule number.
