You use this Business Add-In (BAdI) to extend the Header API (API_S2K_IP_HDR_CREATE). The API imports data in customer extension data in tables parameter �T_SPCIPEXTN� and this is passed to the header BAdI. The header BAdI has one method:

• Process_extension_data: The method accepts the extension data in the parameter IT_EXTENSION. The user can modify the CS_SPCIPHDR that resembles the database header table entry (SPCIPHDR).

You can use a customer include in the SPCIPHDR table and extend the table. The BADI can then be used to update the customer extension data in the database.
