Use
You use this report to update the status of the part, end-item part, and supplier after initiating the master data creation process in the IP browser.
You can run the update status report using transaction ADS2KSTAT.
You execute the report based upon the following parameters, which can be specified on the selection screen:
- Sequence number
- IDoc
- IDoc time
- User
The application log displays the detail information of IDocs and their status along with the part, manufacturer, supplier, end item part, and end item manufacturer information.
When you initiate the Master Data Creation process in the IP Browser, the status of the object is set to Master Data Creation Initiated. The master creation process is executed and the master data key fields and the IDoc numbers are stored in a buffer table.
When you execute the Update Status Report, the IDoc number(s) from the buffer table are read, the status of each IDoc is read, and the object status is updated. The object status is updated according to the IDoc status as follows:
IDoc status Part/End item part status
Status 51(Success): Master Data Created/Updated
Status 53(Failure): Master Data Creation Failed
Status 64(Waiting): No update of status
Any other status: BAdI is provided. The user can implement own set of processes based on the respective status.
It is possible to run a status update report in test mode. When run in test mode, the status of the object is not updated. However the status of the IDoc and reasons for failure of master data creation can be read from the application log.
