Purpose
You use this BAdI implementation to add ID information to the advanced shipping notification (ASN). The BAdI implementation also triggers the generation of an event capture notification (ECN) message in SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure, which sends the goods issue information to SAP Object Event Repository (SAP OER).
Functionality
The BAdI implementation fetches ID information related to an outbound delivery document, such as ID, ID type and their hierarchical relationship, from SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure (SAP AII) and enriches the IDoc. It triggers the generation of ECN in SAP AII.
Effects on Customizing
You can only activate this BAdI implementation from a Customizing activity.
Dependencies
If SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure is deployed as an add-on for SAP ERP, you should activate either this implementation or the implementation ABI_BADI_V56K_AIIECN. The only difference between the two implementations is that one triggers the generation of ECN in SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure and the other does not.
