Use

The control key WCM exists for orders in work clearance management. Operations with this control key activate work clearance management. Orders for which work clearance management is activated are called WCM-relevant orders.

Furthermore, you have the option of assigning further data on work clearance management behind the user fields.

Thus you can automatically generate the corresponding WCM objects, in particular for orders that were created during the scheduling of maintenance plans.

Requirements

  • The orders have operations with the control key WCM.
  • The key of a WCM object is stored in the first user field of each of these operations, and the category of a WCM object in the second user field.
  • The orders have the status created.
  • The orders are not locked by a user.
  • Internal number assignment has been defined in Customizing for all WCM objects to be created.
  • An additional prerequisite if valuation is active:
    • The orders have the status Valuated.

Standard settings

Activities

  1. Define the user fields in Customizing for Plant Maintenance and Customer Service under Define User Fields .

    The first user field Text (20) is required for the template. Assign it an appropriate heading.

    The second user field Text (20) is required for the template category. Assign it an appropriate heading.

    If you wish to show the input help for the two user fields, use the customer exit IWO10015 with the function module WCFU_USER_FIELD_F4.

    We recommend that you create a special key word ID for work clearance management.

  2. To generate WCM objects automatically, execute program RIWC0016.
