Use
You create a storage catalog in this IMG activity.
In this storage catalog, you create periods (in years, months and weeks) for which the records and cases (see PSRM terminology) must be stored for until they are disposed after processing.
You define a value of this catalog as a default value for the duration of storage in a in a record plan item. This value is then used automatically when a record or case is created. If necessary, you can overwrite this value.
This system automatically calculates the storage period from the storage duration. In the standard system, the creation date of the record or case is used for the start of the period. The end of the storage period is calculated using the start of the storage period and the storage duration.
When a case is added (to the records), the system changes the start of the storage period to this date.
