Use

In this IMG activity, you can define which rules should be used for generating a case indicator (see PSRM terminology).

There can be different rules for different case types. You enter the case type for each line and assign it to a generation rule for case indicators. You can assign a number of generation rules for each case type by entering several lines for each case type.

Effect of generation rules assigned to a case type:

If a user wants to generate a case indicator (when creating a case using the input help for the attribute case indicator), only the generation rules you defined are displayed. If you have assigned the case type to one generation rule, this is used automatically and the value help does not exist. If the case type is not assigned to a generation rule, all generation rules for case indicators are displayed in the value list.

Requirements

  • The case types are defined in the IMG activity Define Case Types.
  • The generation rules are defined in the IMG activity Define Generation Rules.
  • In the attribute profile, the attribute rule name (PS_REFERENCERULE) can either not be used or at least have the flag Cannot be Changed. The program automatically sets this attribute during the generation of the case indicator and cannot be changed manually.
