Use
You have to make the following Basis settings for the digital signature in the application Public Sector Records Management. These settings must be made for:
- Each individual user who has a user signature
- The SAP system as a system signature for automatic verification of signatures by the SAP system.
The Basis component Secure Store and Forward (SSF) is used for the digital signature. The Basis settings for SSF are explained in the next section.
Note:
All users can maintain their address data and fixed values in the SAP menu under System -> User Entries -> Own Data. This data includes the general user settings and the SFF settings for the user. Once you start using the digital signature, it is recommended that you do not grant authorization for maintenance of your data to all users.
Requirements
You require an external security product for user signatures of documents. It is connected to your SAP system by SFF. You have to configure the SAP system for communication with the external product. This is part of the SAP installation and is described in the SAP installation guide.
You can find a list of certified providers of these external security products on the SAP Service Marketplace.
Note that when selecting security products, the personal security environment (PSE), the user should be stored on a chip card, not in the file system. The software PSE does not fulfil the official requirements for digital signatures.
Standard settings
The SSF settings for the system signature are included in the standard system.
