Use
In this IMG activity, you create the role-based view of the electronic desk (records organizer) for a user role.
The role-based view is displayed in the electronic desk in the Work Environment. SAP recommends that you include element types and elements here which users of a role require for their daily work.
Example: The user of a role always creates records for a particular record model. Make this record model available to the users in a role- based view. This means that the user does not have to search for it by element type for record models.
Requirements
You have defined a role you want to assign to a role-based view.
Standard settings
The DOMEA role processor is defined in the standard system. All element types of the current Records Management Systems (RMS) (record, case, documents, incoming post item and record plan) are displayed in the work area Work Environment of the electronic desk.
Activities
If you want to define your own roles, proceed as follows:
- A role-based view is identified by the name of a user role and a Records Management system ID (RMS ID). Enter the following in the screen View Generator: Initial Screen:
- The user role you want to assign to the role-based view
- The RMS which is to used for the role-based view
- (The role-based view can only contain element types and elements which are in this RMS.)
- Select one of the functions in the toolbar.
You are taken to the screen Change View: Name of Role (<Name of RMS>) (<Status>).
- Set up the role-based view by placing the cursor on a node, choosing Activities and using the functions displayed.
Notes:
- Using the functions Element Linkage from Favorites/Element Linkage from History, you can copy elements from your personal favorites/ personal history.
- Using the function Display All Element Types, you can display all element types of the RMS selected.
- You can display elements you have implemented.
