Use

This IMG activity contains all settings you have to make in the registry to set Records Management for Case Management.

You define these settings in registry maintenance. Read the documentation on the IMG activity Set Registry under Basic Settings and the section Customizing in the Records Management documentation in the SAP Library for detailed information on using the registry maintenance.

Requirements

Before you configure the registry, you have to create the content model for the case container (see PSRM Terminology), general record (optional), documents and general notes. Use the Records Management Content Model Wizard for this.

Note: For content model for case container, use either "record" or "DOMEA Record" as a content model template in the content model wizard.

Open the folder "Application Registry" after you start the activity. Open the node marked "S_AREA_CMG". This node represents the area for Case Management. All operations in the following description are executed under this node.

Note: All entries created in the registry maintenance are development objects and must therefore be assigned to a development package.

Standard settings

The following steps must be carried out:

  1. Definition of one or a number of RMS (Records Management System):

RMS are used for the logical division of different business areas which are used in the same client of an installation (same as company codes, for example).

You can use the RMS to control the display of elements and element types.

Open the node "RMS_ID" under the node "S_AREA_CMG" (see above) and select the operation "Create Parameter Value" from the context menu. Enter a value, for example "S_CMG_DEMO" and a short text, such as "sample data".
  2. Definition of one or a number of element types for cases:

Select the node "SCMG_SPS_CASE" under the node "SCMG_SP_CASE". Select function "Copy" from the context menu and assign a name and description. Maintain the following parameters in the tab pages "Connection Parameter" and "Classification":
    • TERM_PROFILE (profile for texts which do not refer to a particular case type)
    • RMS_ID (Select the RMS ID defined in the previous step)
    • LOG_KEEP_DAYS (optional): stop time of log
    • LOG_LEVEL (optional): level of detail of log

  3. Definition of one or a number of element types for the case search:

Copy the element type "SCMG_SPS_CASE_LOCATOR" and maintain the parameters
    • TERM_PROFILE (meaning same as element type for cases)
    • RMS_ID (select the RMS ID defined in the previous step)
  4. Definition of one or more element types for case notes:

Copy the element type "SCMG_SPS_CASE_NOTES" and maintain the parameters RMS_ID.
  5. Definition of one or a number of element types for case container:

Before defining the element type for the case container, you must have created the content model for the case container (see section Prerequisites"). Copy the element type "SCMG_SPS_CASE_RECORD" and maintain the parameters:
    • DOCUMENT_CLASS (enter the content model which has be created)
    • MODEL_ID (Select '*' if you do not want to limit the case model allowed)
    • RMS_ID
  6. Definition of one or a number of element types for the filing of documents:

Copy the element type "SCMG_SPS_DOCUMENT" and maintain the parameters
    • DOCUMENT_CLASS
    • FUNCTION_GET_FORM_DATA (customer-defined function module for formula data, optional)
    • TEMPLATE_ID (Link to office document template, optional, multiple, evaluation possible.
    • RMS_ID
  7. Definition of element types for record models and case models:

Copy the element type "SCMG_SPS_RECORD_MODEL" and "SCMG_SPS_MODEL" and maintain the parameters
    • DOCUMENT_CLASS
    • RMS_ID
  8. Definition of one or a number of element type for filing general notes:

Copy the element type "SCMG_SPS_NOTE" and maintain the parameters
    • DOCUMENT_CLASS
    • RMS_ID
  9. Definition of one or a number of element types for filing general records:

Copy the element type "SCMG_SPS_RECORD" and maintain the parameters
    • DOCUMENT_CLASS (enter the content model that has been created)
    • MODEL_ID (Select '*' if you do not want to restrict the case models allowed)
    • RMS_ID
  10. Definition of one or a number of element types for URLs

Copy the element type "SCMG_SPS_URL" and maintain the parameters RMS_ID.
  11. Definition of additional element types of different types (application- dependent

Depending on the application you use in Case Management, the configuration of additional service providers and/or element types (for example, for Business objects, record number generators and so on) is required. Read the information in the documentation for the application.
