In this step, you can determine per fund that the tolerance limits for active availability control defined in Customizing are only used for a particular budget subtype.
By defining a budget subtype for availability control for a combination of FM area, from fiscal year and fund, you restrict the available budget to this budget subtype. The remaining budget is then not available for postings.
Note that these settings have no effect if you are working with releases because budget subtypes cannot be created for releases. Released budget is always available within the tolerance limits defined for postings.
Requirements
You must have made the following settings:
Standard settings
If you do not make any settings in this step, all budget subtypes that you defined are available for postings and are relevant for availability control checks.
Activities
Define a budget subtype for availability control for each fund.
Note:
- Entries without budget subtypes have the effect that during posting the budget posted without budget subtypes is included in the active availability control.
- You can also define the budget subtype for availability control for each fund in the step Define Budget Subtype for Availability Control for Each Fund.
If you want to make entries for the fund type and the individual fund, the setting for the fund has priority during the check.
