In this activity you can set system messages to appear as you require them.
You can

  • determine whether a message is issued as a note in the dialog box or in the footer
  • change warnings into error messages
  • switch off warnings and error messages

Different specifications are possible for the online mode and for the batch input sessions processed in the background.

You can make the corresponding specifications for a client or, if required, also for the individual user.

Standard settings

If you have not made any other settings, the following messages will appear as warnings:

  • BQ 205: Negative overall budget (payments)
  • BQ 209: Negative overall budget (commitments)
  • BQ 207: Negative annual budget (payments)
  • BQ 211: Negative annual budget (commitments)
  • BQ 227: Negative financial budget value
  • BQ 233: Financial budget value smaller than commitment budget
  • BQ 235: Payment budget value smaller than commitment budget
  • BQ 237: Financial budget value smaller than total commitment budget
  • BQ 281: Negative payment budget within budget subtype &
  • BQ 283: Negative commitment budget & within budget subtype &

Recommendation

Activities

  1. Enter the following data:
    • Message number
      By pressing F4 for the MsgN field, you call up a list of the the messages that are available.
    • User name
      If you enter a name here, the settings you make will only apply for this specific user. If you make no entry, the settings will apply for all users in the given client.
    • Message type
      To call up a list of the permitted message types, press F4 in the Dialog or BatchI fields.
  2. Save your entries.

    The relevant message text is automatically used by the system.
