In this section you create the release group profile. You define release groups per profile. You assign budget types to each release group which you use within the framework of budget planning.
If you are working with release groups, you must assign every budget type, which you use within the framework of budget planning, to a release group. The budget type "Lesser expense" is an exception to this: It can be, but does not have to be assigned to a Release group.
In order to be able to use the Release groups function in an FM area/ fiscal year, you have to create at least one Release group profile and subsequently assign it to the desired FM area/fiscal year.

Activities
- Create the desired Release profiles.
- Make the desired assignments per Release profile.
Further notes
If you have activated unilateral and reciprocal cover eligibility for budget type 'KBFR' and checked active availability control against releases, you must take care that the local block that applies for the release group reduces the budget eligible for cover accordingly.
