In this step, you create number range intervals for cover pools.
For each number range interval, you enter the following information:
- Number range key
You must assign the number range key to the FM area for which it applies. You do this in step "Assign number range to FM area for cover pools".
- Number interval from which you can choose cover pool numbers
- Type of number allocation (internal or external)
You can define any number of intervals. However, setting a single interval is sufficient. If you define more than one interval, you must take care that the number intervals do not overlap.
Activities
- Choose Interval -> Change.
- Choose Edit -> Add Interval.
- Define all relevant information for the number range in the dialog box.
- Save your entries.
Further notes
You transport number range objects as follows:
Choose Interval -> Transport in the accounting document Number Range screen.
All intervals for the selected number range object are deleted in the target system first. After the import, only the intervals you export are present. The number statuses are imported with their values at the time of export.
Dependent tables are not transported or converted.
