In this activity you can translate the application forms that you use. The activity is particularly important for application forms of the type SAPscript, since there is no other method for translating the SAPscript standard texts used in application forms.
Example
Your application forms are created and maintained in a specific original language. You want to create correspondence in other languages.
Requirements
The application forms to be translated must be defined in an original language. Once you have maintained the application forms, you can translate them.

Recommendation
For more information about the translation transaction, read the application documentation for translating application forms. Application forms can also be translated via the maintenance transaction for application forms (EFRM), but SAP recommends that you use the tools described here because they make the forms easier to handle.
Activities
The following activities are necessary for translating application forms:
- Creation of a Worklist
By entering the original and target language you can create a list with translation-relevant objects. When you save, this list is converted into a worklist. Either administrators or translators can generate worklists.
- Individual Processingof Worklists
Once a worklist has been generated it can be processed by a translator.
- Mass Processing of Worklists
You can use this function to manage the worklists in the system. This means that you can update the status for views or delete worklists.
- Status Not in PWB SAPscript Forms
(List of SAPscript forms not used in the Print Workbench)
If you use SAPscript forms that are not used in the Print Workbench, you can use this report to create a list of these SAPscript forms, including the translation status.
Further notes
If you use SAP Smart Forms or PDF-based forms, it is sufficient to define the additional languages in the maintenance transaction of an application form (menu: Extras -> Languages -> Create), add the language, and use standard translation tools of these form tools.
