Use

In this activity you can adjust the category of system messages to your requirements. This means that you can determine whether a message is displayed as information in the dialog box or in the footer, whether a message is issued as an error message instead of a warning, or you can suppress the sending of messages as warnings and error messages completely.

For dialog and batch input in the background, you can make different specifications respectively.

You can make the relevant specifications for a client and, if required, for individual users.

Activities

  1. Enter the following data:
    • Message number
      • The input help (F4) for the field MsgN shows which messages are available for selection.
    • Name of user
      • If you enter a name here, the specifications apply only to this user. If you do not make an entry, the settings apply to all users of the client.
    • Message type
      • To determine the message type permitted, select the input help (F4) for the fields Dialog or BatchI.
  2. Save your entries.

The system sets the relevant message text automatically.
