Use

In this activity, you make the basic settings for the foreign currency valuation.

Activities

Select one of the three possible settings:

  1. If the different accounting principles have no effect on the valuation of an open items, and the valuation is not important for the reclassification, choose Valuation Based on Financial Statement View. (Standard setting)
  2. If the system is to consider the valuated open items in the reclassification, choose Valuation Based on Several Financial Statement Views .
  3. If the system is to consider the valuated open items in the reclassification, and the inverse postings for the adjustment postings are not to automatically take effect one day after the valuation key date, choose Valuation Based on Several Financial Statement Views with Deferred Inverse Posting.

Note

The financial statement view results from the accounting principle. The following three standards are the most common:

  • HGB (German commercial code/Germany)
  • IAS (International Accounting Standards/Europe)
  • US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles/USA)
