In this activity you define the tax code required for exception handling.
- This is the case if tax calculation is made with an external system. As a rule this only occurs in countries with tax rates that differ on a regional basis, such as in the USA (jurisdiction code).
The tax indicators defined make it mandatory to call an external software package to calculate tax, instead of calculating taxes using the internally stored percentage rates.
- Exception handling is also required for tax codes, if you have tax exemptions on a contract account level in your system. In this case, maintain in this activity all the tax codes for which tax exemptions could exist. Tax exemptions on a contract account level can currently only be supported for Argentinia and Italy.
