Use
Validation is a check by the system of values and value combinations that are stored in value IDs, during processing of financing contracts.
The values are checked against a Boolean statement (precondition). If the statement is true, the values are checked again with another Boolean statement (check statement). If the check statement is also true, then the data is processed further. If the check statement is not true, the system issues a message (defined by you) in the error log.
The system copies the contract data that is relevant for the validation to a data structure as check parameters when the contract is processed. In this IMG activity, you enhance this data structure with check parameters by means of the APPEND maintenance concept.
Example
During processing of the financing contract, the system determines an internal rate of return. This internal rate of return exceeds a defined threshold value that you specified in this IMG activity. Processing of the contract can only continue after this high value has been examined (for example, by the responsible employee).
