Use

In this IMG activity you define value IDs. The value ID provides information on the origin of a value and its function (for example, amount financed, residual value). Value IDs are the central means for controlling Lease Accounting, and contain the following information:

• What is the origin of the content of the value ID? (value determination)
• Where is the value ID used? (processing)

Example

You create a value ID with the description FINAMT, to represent the amount financed. For its value determination, you specify the condition type from which the system uses the amount financed. The amount financed can then be used by various steps in Lease Accounting, for example as the capitalization amount for an asset master record, or as the base value for an accrual.
