Use

In this Customizing activity, you can verify and define the sequence of screens that appear in the Basic Material Enhancement view of the material.

Activities

Create a backup of the current configuration by doing the following:

  1. Select the screen sequences that you want to enhance with the basic material assignment.
  2. In the Table View menu, select Transport to create a Customizing transport. Ensure that the current screen sequence and dependent data are stored in the transport.
  3. Release the transport.

To integrate your view of the material, modify the settings of a screen sequence by doing the following:

  1. Select the screen sequence that you want to enhance with the basic material assignment. Use the screen sequence in which the basic material is visible, for example, screen sequence 21 or a screen sequence specified in the Customizing activity Assign Screen Sequences to User/Material Type/Transaction/Industry Sector.
  2. In the Data Screens maintenance view, create an entry with the following parameters:

  1. In the Subscreens maintenance view, enter the values for the first three subscreens as described in the table below:

  1. Create and release a transport for this configuration.

Note

The basic material enhancement of the material master consists of both workbench and configuration changes that must be stored on dedicated workbench and configuration transports respectively. You must import into all subsequent consolidation systems both the configuration transport that contains the changed screen sequence and the workbench transport that contains the BAdI enhancement of the material master. Otherwise, the system may return errors when you try to create or change a material.
