Use

In this Customizing activity, you can configure the data collection mechanisms for content providers. You can specify the following:

  • Different content providers, and the proxy JavaBean through which each is accessed
  • Types of data to be asked for from each provider
  • Maximum matches that the provider can return
  • Look and behaviour of the custom button on the content provider dialogs

Requirements

Before you can access the content provider data collection functions in SAP Product and REACH Compliance:

  • You must have configured your SAP Netweaver installation.
  • You must have provided the JNDI name of the communication and the conversion JavaBean proxy.

Standard settings

The standard system is shipped with default settings for the Partminer content provider.

Activities

  • Maintain the settings under Specify Content Providers, as required.
    • Notes

  • Enter the maximum number of hits in the No.Matches field. This limits the number of results returned by the content provider.
  • Enter the JNDI name of the JavaBean proxy that is to be used for contacting the content provider in the Cont. Provider Proxy field.
  • Enter your the desired format for the content provider response in the Incoming Template field.
  • Custom button settings: The URL is opened in the browser if you use the standard configuration for the button.

  • If required, specify a list of permitted import formats for a content provider under Specify Document Types. If you maintain a list, ensure that you select the Document Request checkbox in the Specify Content Providers view for the content provider that you are maintaining.
