Use
In this activity you define how external handling unit identifications submitted through advanced shipping notifications (ASN) are handled by the system.
If an ASN is received the system by default stores the external identification of the included handling units as secondary identification and uses a new internal number as external identification. Use this activity if you want to keep the external identification of the received HUs instead.
Requirements
Make sure that the external HU identifications you receive from your vendor are unique if handling unit management is active in your system.
Standard settings
Activities
Mark the checkbox Take Over External Handling Unit Identifications if you want to keep the external HU identifications submitted by your vendors. This setting affects the complete client.
Example
If the external HU identifications submitted by the vendor fulfill the UCC/EAN128 standards the external HU number is kept independently of the settings in this activity.
