Use
Use this IMG activity to make SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) server settings of your company. The settings in this table would be used by the system to send an e-mail to the vendors automatically, whenever supersession is reported in supplier TPOP purchase order (PO) confirmations sent via EDI is found to be invalid.
This activity is optional. If no entry is maintained in this activity no e-mail would be sent to the supplier.
Only one entry should be maintained in the activity for each client. This activity is client dependent.
The system defaults a predefined text in the subject line of the mail and in the mail content.
The default text in the subject line will be
Reported supersession is invalid
The default text in the body of the mail will be
Supersession reported for purchase order <PO number> is found to be invalid
Requirements
The e-mail address of the supplier has to be maintained in the vendor master. Else the system will not be able to determine the recipient of the e-mail.
Standard settings
There will not be any entries as standard shipment.
