Use
In this activity, you establish a lean status update for handling units (HUs) in this client by setting non-unique number assignment for HU identification.
Restrictions
The lean status update for handling units is a solution specific to the SPE system landscape. Do not use this setting if you are not working within this landscape.
NOTE: If you want to process or display a handling unit, you can only find and select it if this identification occurs only once. If you allow multiple assignment of the same handling unit ID, the system cannot determine exactly which handling unit you are requesting, thereby ruling out any chance of scanner-supported processing.
Requirements
Setting for unique number assignment for HU identification has to be switched off.
Standard settings
The standard system contains unique number assignment. If you switch it off, it enables lean status update for handling units.
Activities
Check the checkbox for lean HU status.
Further notes
If you plan to work with HU-managed storage locations, you must set unique number assignment for HU identification. This means that you cannot work with the lean HU status update setting.
