Use
With the Business Add-In /SPE/SHP_APN_TRNSLTN, you can implement the automatic determination of an internal material number based on an Alternate Product Number (APN).
With one of the following methods, the APN can be stored with the material master as a customer extension (APPEND field):
- SET_APN_FROM_IDOC enables you to set the APN from an IDOC extension segment of the delivery message (type DESADV) or from any other field in the IDOC that is used to transfer the APN.
- TRANSLATE_APN enables you to define an automatic translation from the APN to the ERP internal material number.
The method is called from the IDOC inbound processing (after method SET_APN_FROM_IDOC).
