Use

In this IMG activity, you define the specific number interval 02 of the number ranges for inspection outcomes that is relevant for Advanced Returns Management.

After an inspection outcome, the system assigns a unique number that identifies the inspection outcome. This number is taken from the number range that is provided for the inspection outcome. Only an internal number assignment is supported for the inspection outcome; that is, the ERP system automatically assigns a consecutive number from the defined number range.

Note that if you want to transfer data from inspection documents to SAP CRM (for billing returns stock transport orders), document numbers must have a maximum of 10 digits.

Transport

To transport number range objects, in the Entry Number Range screen, choose Interval --> Transport .

All intervals for the selected number range object are deleted in the target system first. After the import, only the intervals that you export are present. The number statuses are imported with their values at the time of export.

Dependent tables are not transported or converted.

Activities

To define a number range for inspection outcome in Advanced Returns Management, add the new number interval 02 to the number range:

  1. In the Maintain Number Range Intervals choose Edit -> Insert interval and enter the number 02.
  2. Specify the limits of the number interval.

The individual number intervals cannot not overlap, so every number can occur only once.

  3. Do not mark the number ranges for external assignment.
