Use
The Service Parts Management (SPM) processes are distributed over the SAP system landscape. To run the processes, you must first set up the communication of the ERP system with other components.
The following sections provide an overview on the customizing necessary to the set up this communication.
Communication of Master Data to SAP EWM
The communication of master data to SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) uses the CIF Integration models.
To set up the communication for this data, in Customizing, choose Integration with Other mySAP.com Components --> Extended Warehouse Management --> Basic Settings for Setting Up the System Landscape.
Communication of Application Data to SAP EWM
- The name of the logical system needs to be defined.
The settings are cross client. The activity Name Logical System is identical to the settings that need to be completed for the master data distribution to SAP EWM.
- To create the connection to SAP EWM, set up the RFC destination
This set up needs to be completed in the master data as well. The name of the RFC destination has to match the name of the specified logical target system.
- To enable the application of the communication, the RFC destination has to be assigned to the BAPIs.
For this, an assignment for the standard BAPI destination needs to be defined.
- To set up the process, decentralized warehouse numbers need to be defined in the ERP system.
- The warehouse numbers have to be registered as extended warehouse numbers.
- The distribution model links the specific warhouse numbers to a logical system.
Communication to SAP APO
To set up the communication to SAP APO, in Customizing, choose Integration with Other mySAP.com Components --> Advanced Planning and Optimization --> Basic Settings for Setting Up the System Landscape.
Communicatio to SAP CRM
The communication to SAP CRM is via middleware. For more information, see the relevant documentation in the SAP CRM.
